After over 25 years searching for that perfect tone, I decided to make my own.

Years of searching for a sound that satisfies the voice in my head!

I'm Leigh Greenhough - founder of Green Pickups. I have over 25 years experience as a professional guitarist and I’m also a qualified electrical engineer working on projects throughout the uk.

I’ve been playing, building and modifying guitars since my teens and after two decades of writing music, playing in bands all over the UK and tutoring, whilst also dipping in and out of a career in electrical engineering (we all know music doesn’t always bring home the bacon!) I became dad to a beautiful little girl. With her, came a new lease of life and an itching to do something new. 

Green Pickups are handmade with an inquisitive mind, an eye for detail and a genuine love for the instrument. Bringing together a unique combination of musical knowledge and engineering experience, this small family business was born out of a passionate pursuit for that perfect tone and a lifelong obsession with electric guitars.

Designed using a blend of vintage and modern specifications, made and tested in our Sound Shed in Manchester, UK.
