For this model, I use lightly bevelled Alnico III magnets which deviates slightly from the norm. Staying true to the originals, I use 42AWG wire. This combination yields a warm and rounded tone, with a delightful chime-like quality in the upper register and a snappy midrange response. As with all Green Pickups, They are built by hand, sealed with lacquer and dipped in lamp black paraffin wax to help with microphonics. This method naturally dulls the poles sheen as they were considered unsightly. If you want shiny poles let me know!
