A3/4/5 Mixed Telecaster Bridge Pickup

£80.00

Tele players are well aware of the challenges that come with playing guitars loaded with old Alnico III pickups. The weak magnets and limited wind count can make it a struggle to achieve the desired sound, especially on certain days or in specific environments. However, after extensive testing, I have developed a solution. By combining Alnico III, IV and V magnets, I have created a telecaster pickup that is incredibly versatile and boasts a harmonically rich tone.

The addition of Alnico IV and V magnets helps to maintain clarity and tightness in the lower frequencies, ensuring that the thicker strings retain their definition, which can often be lost on vintage telecasters. On the other hand, the Alnico III magnets help to tame the excessive "twang" that can sometimes make the top end sound harsh and fatiguing to the ears. This pickup strikes a balance between vintage charm and modern functionality. If you prefer a slightly tamer tone go for the flush poles. If you’re after touch more grunt go for the raised option. There’s no difference in price.

To maintain a vintage aesthetic, the pickup is wrapped in twine for added coil protection. With this pickup, you can enjoy the best of both worlds, capturing the essence of the vintage era while enjoying improved playability and a more refined tone.
